Can you trade forex on weekends?
With most brokers, no. Standard forex, metals, indices and energy CFDs stop pricing on Friday at 23:59 server time and stay closed until Monday. If news breaks on a Saturday, all you can do is watch, then wait for the Monday gap.
StoicFX's 24/7 markets change that. Dedicated weekend versions of seven major markets keep quoting after Friday's close, so you can open, manage and close positions right through the weekend.

Know the weekend conditions
Weekend markets behave differently. Trade them with your eyes open.
Thinner liquidity
Weekend volume is lower, so spreads run wider than in weekday sessions. Check the live spread before you enter and size positions accordingly.
Weekend moves & gaps
News still moves prices on Saturdays and Sundays. Weekend pricing reflects that, and standard instruments can still gap at the Monday open.
Regulated either way
StoicFX (Pty) Ltd is an authorised financial services provider regulated by the FSCA (FSP 53079). The same protections apply on a Sunday as on a Tuesday.
Weekend trading FAQ
Can you trade forex on weekends?
With most brokers, forex CFDs close from Friday 23:59 to Monday 00:00 server time. At StoicFX you can trade dedicated 24/7 versions of EUR/USD and GBP/USD that keep pricing through Saturday and Sunday.
Which markets can I trade on weekends?
The 24/7 group covers gold (XAUUSD.24-7), silver (XAGUSD.24-7), EUR/USD, GBP/USD, the US100 and US500 indices, and US crude oil. Crypto CFDs also trade 24/7.
What are the weekend trading hours?
The 24/7 instruments quote continuously, seven days a week, including Saturdays, Sundays and most public holidays. Standard instruments keep their regular Monday-to-Friday schedule.
Are spreads wider on weekends?
They can be. Weekend liquidity is thinner than weekday sessions, so 24/7 instruments may show wider spreads than their weekday equivalents. You'll always see the live spread before you trade.
Why are weekend instruments separate symbols?
Weekend markets have their own liquidity and pricing, so they trade as dedicated symbols ending in .24-7 (for example XAUUSD.24-7). Your standard positions and the weekend instruments stay cleanly separated.
How do I trade weekend markets on my existing account?
Log in to MT5, right-click Market Watch, choose Symbols, and enable the 24/7 group. The .24-7 instruments then appear alongside your usual symbols. No new account is needed.
Can I try weekend trading on a demo account?
Yes. Demo accounts include the 24/7 group, so you can test weekend conditions with virtual funds before trading live.
The market doesn't stop on Friday. Neither should you.
Open an account in minutes and trade the full 24/7 group, seven days a week. Regulated, on MT5, from $10.
Trading CFDs involves significant risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. Weekend markets can be less liquid and more volatile. Trade responsibly.
